Knowledge Base Workflow Step getting skipped.

In the workflow 'Knowledge -   Approval Publish'

the step 'Approval - User' is getting skipped, and it is getting defaulted to 'delete state' .

Anybody has come across this or has any idea whats going, if you could please share it, it will be a great help.

I have made sure the approve is a active user, and is the only owner of the Knowledge Base.

Hey Som Ban,

Knowledge approval publish is an OOB workflow. Do you know why its been touched and there is an extra transition other than approved and rejected ?

Suspecting that would be the issue.

Try creating a new activity and copy the code present in it. If you dont see any active script in there .. Look for the same in any of the OOB instance.

This is just the stack oob workflow, its not been touched. It has 3 states/transition straight out of the box.

Can you explain a little bit what do you mean by a new activity. Thanks so much.

Hi Som,

Right , My bad it has the 3 state transitions OOB. So, It should add all the kb owners and managers . Is it not adding any one at all ?

It is strange, the activity does sends out approval request however at the same time the activity transitions to 'delete' and the workflow changes the article state back to draft and ends/exits.

The only scenario when the wf works as expected is when the 'Admins' publish an article. Or the creator/publisher is present in the approval group.
