I've tried several solutions here on Community regarding making rejection comments mandatory on approval record. However, it is seems that my Client Controller is somehow different than the ones here on Community. In before, I've recently been given the responsibility to maintain/develope our instance. Therefore I need som help regarding this subject. Here's a screenshot of my client controller:
So, in these lines of codes I'd like to make the rejection comments mandatory, either with an alert box (ala here https://community.servicenow.com/community?id=community_blog&sys_id=228da669dbd0dbc01dcaf3231f9619f3) or with an error message on top of the screen. Any suggestions?
I'd appreciate this community and all the help I'm getting!
Thanks in advance.

It may even be easier to simply make a UI Policy or Data Policy that requires comments when the state is set to rejected.
