@mentions?

I haven't found any references or discussions of support for @mention or @reply type functionality in ServiceNow.   Does anyone know if something like this might be supported in future versions?   I see that this community site has @mention but I haven't seen anything to indicate that it's available in our own instance. Am I missing something?

I don't know about @mentions in other contexts, but Live Feed can certainly be used in a lot of contexts. In particular, you'll want to check out Record Feeds ( Record Feeds - ServiceNow Wiki ) which essentially allow you to use a Live Feed interface (and therefore @mentions) for things like incident comments.

Hi Brian,

I don't know if it completely answers your question, but ServiceNow currently uses @mention functionality in Live Feed (starting in Fuji). Details here: Posting Content in Live Feed - ServiceNow Wiki

Thank you Lawrence, I searched the wiki but somehow missed the Live Feed section.

Other than live feed, will there be any options for use in other contexts?

I have users interested in being able to do @mentions within comments fields, for example, on record types like incidents and requests, etc.

Hi Brian, it would be great to have @mentions in ServiceNow in all comments or work notes!

In case it is helpful, something I often do is to add someone in the watch list or work note list whenever I want the person to pay attention to a specific comment or conversation thread in a given record. This will work as long as the notifications are properly setup to include the people on the lists as recipients.

Thanks,

Berny
