Modify code of the attach button in the contextual search

When you click the Attach button of the contextual search to attach a knowledge article to a closed incident, the article will be attached but no messages or any indicators shows up to users (a message shows up for open incidents). Then you can see the attached articles in the Attached Knowledge related list only after refreshing a page.

Is it possible to modify the code of the Attach button in the contextual search to refresh the page automatically once the button is clicked? Or display a custom message?

To display a message, I tried to create a business rule for m2m_kb_task table (
gs.addInfoMessage()). The message is displayed but users won't see it until scroll up the page.
