Not Changing text field to Date/TIme

Hi,

We have this field Expiration date' (u_expiration_date) on custom table in String/Text format.
We are running Utha release instance however we are not able to change this String field to Date/Time in Dictionary entry for u_expiration_date,

Please suggest what is the reason that we are not getting Date/Time while search in Reference field.

Are you changing at parent or extended table?

Also please note, if you change the data type it going to be impact to the existing data, so please take the back up. 

Also, better to hide the field and create new with new data type and populate the data from background.

Hi,

This is Parent custom table.

for backend also we need to do lot of things to change string field to Date/Time field.

Please suggest any from ServiceNow side.

We need to change this format from String field yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ss.SSSZ to Normal Date/time 2023-03-22 17:49:57 for date/time field 24Hrs Format.
