I've checked all the previous posts about PDI's and unscheduled maintenance and no one had mentioned if their PDI was going to expire in like the next 24 hours or so when this happens (the unscheduled maintenance message) or really any follow-ups on if they got it back after the unscheduled maintenance was over.
I understand there is no actual support for PDI's and didn't think that backing a PDI up was really even an option (before now). I try to get in my PDI every week so I don't get the expiration warning emails, but with our project kicking off now it's low on the priority list, but I WAS still using it to learn and practice in.
Just wondering what my chances of getting it back after the maintenance even are at this point.. I'm guessing not good since some of the previous responses were that it lasted weeks or they never got the "it's available" notice they signed up to get (that you are given the option to request when it tells you why it's down).

The chances could be anywhere from 100% to 0%, so it's difficult to say whether you'll get the PDI back. In the past 2-3 days, users have reported waiting more than 10 days, and the PDI still hasn't been returned. Therefore, there are no clear timelines.

While I appreciate responses, this may be the only somewhat helpful part of that "In the past 2-3 days, users have reported waiting more than 10 days, and the PDI still hasn't been returned." - has this maintenance been going on for 10 days + already for some or are you basing information off past experiences.. because all of the previous posts were from many months to years ago.
I get the SN boilerplate answer.. I was hoping for responses of folks that had it happen to their PDI's and if they got it back, gave up waiting after a day or a week, or if they didn't request another one does this message just potentially stay displayed forever until "they"/SN decide we're just wiping it out and the next time you log in your PDI will just be gone.

Update for future reference: Monday (3 days from when I saw the Unscheduled Maintenance message) I logged back in to check on it and it said it was still down, but an hour or so later I did receive the email that my PDI was available again and I was in fact able to get in and it was as before (don't appear to have lost anything so far). Happy that seems to be the exception (to actually get it back), but know that's not always the case.
