PDI Inactivity warning email bug

ServiceNow reclaimation action.png

As you can see the email was sent at 6am on February 26th stating that end of day February 25th my PDI would be reclaimed. The PDI is still there so one has to believe that there is a bug/error is how ServiceNow is filling out these emails. Has anyone else run into this?

Hey @Sean Mauk,

First of all, you might want to blur your email address in there..

I don't think the instance will be reclaimed right on time, there could be a few hours of delay here and there.

Just wondering, why are you asking this question? Are you awaiting for your instance to be reclaimed?

Cheers

Hi @James Chun ,

I don't mind people having my work email, but thank you for the heads up about it being in the image. The main reason I am posting this is because I believe they have a bug in however the PDI inactivity email is being built and was curious if it was a 1 off or if others had noticed it as well.

Best regards

Hi @Sean Mauk,

Looks like some people had a similar issue, but their PDI was reclaimed before the supposed date.

As we don't know the 'logic' on how ServiceNow calculates the expiry dates and they don't do much support on PDIs, I guess all we can do is make a backup of our PDI and don't leave it to the last minute.

Yes, mine stayed active until a few days ago. Due to PDI migration. I "Released" it and requested a new instance. After a day, the new instance was available. And notifications from the Community and the PDI status were often delayed.
