Prevent RetiredCIs to show for Add affected CIs popup window for all Configuration Class?

Hi Everyone,

We have a related list under Incident called Affected CI then under this related list, we have add button. Upon clicking the Add button, a window will popup (see below). How can I set the default filter for everyone to exclude Retired CIs for all Configuration Class that is selected by user and how can I hide the breadcrumbs as well.

I have tried adding - url.set("sysparm_query", "operational_status!=Retired); under  _getURL function of AssociateCIToTask Script Include but its not filtering when we change the configuration class.
