published workflow no checkout option

I know a few people have asked this and all got the same answer "its checked out by someone else" but in this case it is not, I'm the only admin in this week, I was working on it last night.

its published as you can see in the screenshot, but the checkout option is not there.

Sometimes it appears that no one else has it.   This is how to see for sure:



In the navigation pane:   type workflow verisons


Click on the all


Right click on the name (laptop new in your case) and show matching


Several versions show and one of them usually has someone in the checkout column


Impersonate that user


Pull up the workflow and publish it

Check to see if you are in the right application.



Use the application picker (under the cog icon if you don't have it on the top header bar.) I've been caught by this when trying to check out a workflow in the global space and I have a scoped app selected.


Thanks Chuck, but yes, I'm in the Global application, its the only one I work with.

You didn't impersonate another user did you? You ARE logged in with an account with admin (or workflow_admin) role, right?

No, I'm me , in my admin account and I can check out other workflows, just not this one
