Hi,

I added two new fields called Nice to have story and Must to have story in the Story record. I want these fields to be mandatory. But when I added, the asterisk symbol of the fields is in grey colour. I want this in red colour. How to do this

Hi @NishaB

Out-of-the-box (OOTB), it is red initially, and once a user enters a value, it changes to gray. What is your business case for altering this behavior? Avoid introducing unnecessary technical debt that adds complexity without delivering meaningful value or purpose.

I agree with Atul here.

What's your business requirement to alter the platform OOB behavior?

Hello @NishaB

  • It is the defined behavior to highlight mandatory fields with a red asterisk (*) when the field is empty.
  • Once the mandatory field is filled, the asterisk turns gray, indicating that the field is no longer empty.
  • However, the asterisk remains visible to identify the field as mandatory.
  • This behavior is designed intentionally to maintain consistency and clarity.
