How can I restrict ITIL users so they are automatically redirected to default view if they click on a link in ess view for Incidents. I understand the view rules might be the way to go but need assistance on the correct script to accomplish this.

Sorry but did not get your last point, when a user in ESS view what and where they click. Seems confusing to me?

If our techs click on an URL (i.e. via email) that directs them to an ess view of an incident I want it to automatically redirect them to the default view.

may I know why this change needed? With this change you may break the foundation that all user must redirect to same page.
Tech means end users? or fulfiller?

I want this change because there is no need for our fulfillers to use the end user view. I've had several reports that critical fields are missing only to find out they are in the self service view. I also get constant complaints for reasons like this that ServiceNow is not user friendly. I'm trying to minimize the overflow of information and views they have access to that is not helpful or needed to do their jobs.
When we role out more modules and need other views, I will change this behavior accordingly.
