Report_view - "Widget cancelled - maximum execution time exceeded"

I get this error for reports in the dashboard view -  "Widget cancelled - maximum execution time exceeded". Any solution?

Hi @SimranL - this is seen when it is taking a long time to load the report - so we need to figure out the cause. 

Do you have complex user preferences set up - if so you might need to remove these: 
Slow loading list view or report for a small number of users - Support and Troubleshooting
Is the report query complex & can you simplify it further?
Is anyone else able to open the dashboard with this report? 
There are a couple of system properties that can be modified to support - but these may have instance impacting effects so analyse with your own platform:

I believe your report contains a large amount of data to display. Try optimizing the filter query to improve performance. Also, check out the article below for further guidance.
