Washington DC Patch 1 Hotfix 2
We installed the Resource Management Workspace plugin in our development instance. We did not load demo data.
Is there some setup/configuration that needs to be done in order to see our data displayed here? We created a resource card and expected to see relevant project/resource data (resources being active users with the pps_resource role).
I played around in my PDI and could only get resources to appear in Resource Management Workspace if I generated employee profiles.
We are not using employee profiles. Is this a requirement for Resource Management Workspace?
Thank you

hi @mah1,
You are right. Resource Management workspace requires Employee profile data to be present in the system. Without it it will not work. However, it will not restrict you from using attribute type resource plans in Project workspace. There you can still assign the resources to the tasks without employee profile data.
You can create the Employee definition which will automatically create the Employee profiles (there is a schedule job present).
Please mark my response as correct if it helped you.
Thanks

Hi @mah1 ,
You can get the demo data after installing the plugin, by doing the following:
If your instance is in Vancouver:
1. Navigate to System Applications > All
2. Search for your plugin, you'll find it under the installed tab
3. Open it
4. Click on "Load demo Data" under quick actions
If you are using the classic App manager ( before Vancouver), you can do the following:
1. Navigate to System Applications > All
2. Search for your plugin, it should show below the search with the installed button greyed out
3. Open it
3. Click on Load Demo data Only under the related links (bottom right)

Thank you but I don't really want to see it with demo data. My question is how can I make our data visible in Resource Management Workspace. We already have projects, resources, resource plans defined; this data existed prior to installing the plugin. This is the data that I want to view in Resource Management Workspace.

Also, Load Demo Data is not available under Quick Actions for Resource Management Workspace. The documentation specifically states that demo data cannot be loaded once the plugin is installed.
