Resource Management Workspace no data

Washington DC Patch 1 Hotfix 2

We installed the Resource Management Workspace plugin in our development instance. We did not load demo data.

Is there some setup/configuration that needs to be done in order to see our data displayed here? We created a resource card and expected to see relevant project/resource data (resources being active users with the pps_resource role).

I played around in my PDI and could only get resources to appear in Resource Management Workspace if I generated employee profiles.

We are not using employee profiles. Is this a requirement for Resource Management Workspace?

Thank you

hi @mah1,

You are right. Resource Management workspace requires Employee profile data to be present in the system. Without it it will not work. However, it will not restrict you from using attribute type resource plans in Project workspace. There you can still assign the resources to the tasks without employee profile data.

You can create the Employee definition which will automatically create the Employee profiles (there is a schedule job present).

Please mark my response as correct if it helped you.

Thanks

Yes, but no data appears when clicking the resource card. It appears that Resource Management Workspace uses Employee Profiles which we are not currently using.  I wanted to confirm that this is a requirement. As I mentioned in my post, the only way I could get data to appear in my PDI is when I generated employee profiles.

Are employee profiles required for Resource Management Workspace?

Thank you
