RPA Desktop Design Studio - Error Studio Pluggin not found

Hey community :),

I'm having an issue on the setup for RPA Desktop Design Studio. I'm receiving the error "Studio plugin not found". It is possible that I didn't entered correctly the link for the instance and now I cannot go back to input the correct url instance. I've looked through Robot files, but I couldn't see anything relevant.

Do you have any ideas?

Thanks

Hi Diana,

If you're still facing this issue, locate AppData folder [you can simply type %AppData% in file explorer, windows might directly open "roaming" subfolder so back] now open "Local" and then ServiceNowRPA. You will find Config file there with name "global". (C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\ServiceNowRPA) Either delete that or just make the changes there and enter the correct url for the instance.

This might solve the problem. Helped in my case!

Hi @Allen Andreas ,

I'm sorry that you find my answer inappropriate, that was not my intention. I was focused to find the solution to my problem, so I replied with a quick answer. By not helping, my meaning was that the thread you've sent is not providing me the right answers so is not working for my issue.

Curious what anyone will answer. Experienced exactly the same on my Win10 laptop. On my Win11 laptop it all works fine. No clue why 😞

Kind regards,
Mark

Hi Mark,

Maybe could it be because of the version of Windows? I have Windows 10 Enterprise. Is funny that even if uninstall the robot, when I install it again, it runs from the same error. It doesn't even let me to input again the instance url. I believe there is some config file saved for the robot, but I'm unable to find it.

Best regards,

Diana

Hi Diana,

I'm too facing the same problem in windows 10 enterprise. Tried reinstalling, got some log files where is mentioned "the remote name cannot be resolved" which is probably the wrong instance url entered. Please let me know if you resolved it.

Thanks,
