In one of my recent projects, I was given a use case to schedule an email of reports weekly twice (i.e. every Monday and Thursday)
Let us look at the configuration of this use case using Schedule emails of reports module
What are Schedule emails of reports?
Efficiently generate and systematically distribute scheduled reports to designated recipients through the medium of email. ServiceNow attaches reports (whether sent as a PDF, PNG, CSV, or XLS format) to emails.
- Data may not appear on reports created by an individual whose user account is deactivated. To ensure that the desired data appears, an active user must recreate the scheduled report.
Procedure
- On table : sysauto_report
- Select New.
- Fill in the fields, as appropriate.
Fill in the fields as required :
Name - Name of the scheduled report.
Report - Reference to the report you are scheduling.
Email addresses - Email addresses of report recipients who are not in the system.
Conditional - When turned on, specify a scripted condition for generating the report.
Subject - The subject line of the distribution email.
Type - Report output type.
