Thanks @AndersBGS  for confirming this.

@sola2 This cannot be achieved directly via excel export in servicenow. But you have this Amazing "Data filter" feature in Excel itself. You can use this and "group by" issue can be resolved from there itself.

But for sorting, I would recommend export excel in the exact sorted way you want. Because that cannot be achieved even via excel tool. For logic, if you sort any column, only that column will be sorted in Excel and other columns won't rearrange, so data will be wrong completely.

However, for group by, data filter will definitely help.

Kindly mark my answer as helpful and accept solution if it helped you in anyway. This will help me be recognized for the efforts and also move this questions from unsolved to solved bucket.

@sola2

your report image is not clear.

You can configure the scheduled report and send it as excel etc but that excel won't consider the grouping.

It will simply show all the rows in excel which satisfy the report filter condition

what's your issue?

1) Scheduled report triggers but file is empty

2) Scheduled report triggers and sends file but user/group not receiving

check this for troubleshooting
