Setting up BCM module in another lower instance.

Hi All, we have already set up BCM module on our dev instance. But now we want to set it up on another lower instance from scratch. As I am new to BCM module, what are the things I should take care while setting up the module. (like while installing plugins do I need to take care of anything  OR  How should I configure notification/ templates - is there any best practice I should follow.)
