Show column name in reference field attributes

Hello all,

I provided below variable attribute for a catalog item which is referenced to change table.

ref_auto_completer=AJAXTableCompleter,ref_ac_columns=short_description;requested_by;assigned_to;sys_created_on,ref_ac_columns_search=true

But on portal, how to display the column name when reference field is clicked. Currently it is quite confusing which field is getting displayed. Below screenshot is for your reference.

Well...it looks clumsy the way you have it. Sure we can blame SN all day.

If you're trying to show the change number, then change description, then assigned to, the resource assigned (so now you have two names which can be confusing), etc...then yes...it "looks clumsy" because you have two names there.

Most instances of using this feature I've seen are just to use a few extra fields that "aren't clumsy" or repetitive in nature.

Like...for a caller....we'd show their name, title, email -- nothing clumsy about that.

Perhaps you can adjust what you're showing and then educate your users on what they see...

Thanks!

Hi,

I don't believe this is possible and the way you state things makes it sound like the back-end does this, but not the portal. This doesn't appear to work in either areas on SN (back-end or Portal).

Thanks for the reply Allen. Atleast is it possible to show it in a proper way. It looks clumsy.

This is still a major problem in my opinion.  Without the headers the data is very confusing.  I wish there was a magnifying glass on portal like there is on the backend so we could see the headers.
