To show the Agenda View by default when a calendar report is in the Month view

To show the Agenda View by default when a calendar report is in the Month view, I thought that you must use Portal Preferences to override the standard display behavior. While the Visualization (report) Designer allows you to set the "Default view" to Month, it doesn't have a native checkbox to force the Agenda pane open.

You can force the Agenda pane to be "on" by adding a specific preference to the dashboard or homepage where the report resides by navigating to the Homepage Admin > Pages and select the specific page containing your calendar report. There was only one dropzone in the related lists at the bottom. WIthin that area, I added a New Portal Preference called 'sysparm_cal_agenda' and gave it a value of 'true'.

Once I saved the preference and tested the report, it still had the Agenda View hidden. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing incorrectly, or perhaps give me a step-by-step on how to show the Agenda view  by default, please?
