Update comments within Approval

I have a Catalog Item which allows you to select up to three items from a list collector. Once the user submits, their manager has to approve each item that was requested. Once approved a task is created for the appropriate team to work on it. This means that the manager will receive up to three approvals all at once, one for each item. Unfortunately, when I use the Ask for Approval action in Flow Designer I can’t figure out how to update the comment section for each of the approvals leading the manager to approve blindly. 

As a way to get around this I decided to use the Create Record action and create my own approval where it allows me to update the respective comments.

Is there another way to go about this or does this method work?

I don't have an answer for you particular questions but I have a question for you. Parallel approvals have been an issue for me. If a manger get 3 approvals for the same item all at once, if he approves one (or rejects one) don't the other 2 approval records update to the same status? I have not been able to get around this limitation and need to make my approvals in sequence.

I think if you remove the Approval History from each Approval Action it should help.
