Update sets which are only Retrieved and Previewed state in PROD can copy over to DEV Ins again?

Hello All,

I am working on something in DEV Instance which is not complete and 100% tested yet and lower Instance going for upgrade, so to secure my work I am migrating all my update set to PROD and planning to keep in Previewed state only. Will my update sets stay secure in PROD and will copy over to DEV for further work once clone completes?

Hi there,

In theory that could work, I've also seen some customers do such in the past. Ofcourse do be extremely careful that not someone accidently is committing those update sets in production!

Question: is all your development work in global or also scoped? If global, while cloning you do have an option to keep in progress update sets from the last 90 days. Perhaps that could also be an option. Be aware though: this is only for global scope.
