Today, I want to share a scenario related to workspaces that I initially found quite challenging as a UI Builder novice, though it seems simple to me now. I thought it would be valuable to who might be in a similar learning phase.
Problem Statement :
How to hide the out-of-the-box 'Docs' section in the Strategic Planning Workspace (Planning Item).
Initially, I suspected this was a related list, but I couldn't find it in any view of the "sn_align_core_project" table. Later, I discovered it was actually coming from UI Builder.
Please refer to the below steps I followed:
1)Navigate to UI Builder
2) Click on UI builder. Then Go to Experience Tab >> Search for Your Workspace
3) Begin by opening the respective workspace record. You will then see a list of pages. Since the Docs section is located on a Record Page, please search for and open 'Record Default'.
4)On the left side of the page, navigate to and click the 'Main Tab'. Once selected, you'll see all available tabs displayed on the right. You'll notice the 'Docs' tab there, but to make any edits, you'll first need to click the 'Editor' button located at the top middle of the page.
5)Next, click the 'Docs' tab on the right side of the page. You'll then see the 'Hide Tab' condition. If you want to display the tab only under specific circumstances, you can add those conditions there.
However, to meet my requirements, I needed to hide it. You can achieve this by clicking the 'Pencil Icon' on the right side, and then simply enabling the 'Hide Tab' toggle.
This is one of the approach allows you to hide a tab from a record page within any workspace. While it's a relatively simple solution, I found it challenging to discover as a beginner in UI Builder. I hope this information proves helpful to others who might be in a similar learning phase.
