Currently there is no direct way to remove assignees. However, you can indirectly remove assignees by removing the cards to which they are assigned to. To do this:
1. Open the Visual Task Board (VTB) table. In the Filter Navigator enter vtb_board.list
2. Open the VTB in question
3. On the Visual Task Board Cards tab look for the 'Removed' column. If it doesn't exist you can add it.
4. Select 'true' for every card of which is assigned to the assignee you wish to remove from your VTB.
This works for boards that contains both opened and closed tasks.
