VSCode extension unable to login using SSO account

Hello!

I am setting up the VS Code extension - and am excited to start using VSCode as my primary editor.  I've hit a snag in login credentials.  When I use a local account creds (either basic or OAuth) it connect fine.

When I use my "real" account it fails to connect.  We are using LDAP to sync users and SSO for authentication on all of our instances.

Is there a known issue with connecting via an account that authenticates via SSO for VSCode?

Thanks,
-Thomas

Hi @timmo

Actually SN extension only support Basic, Oauth and Multifactor authentication(MFA) that's why the authentication failed.

I have had success using oAuth in conjunction with an SSO account. I am not using the official SN extension, though, I am using one called S.N.I.C.H

The official SN extension is great, however I cannot figure out how to edit objects that are not in an app or custom scope. With the S.N.I.C.H plugin, I can sync records in the global scope, such as script includes and widgets. Perhaps I am just not understanding how to use the SN extension, and it seems to me it's geared specifically towards custom apps.

Hi @Kundan Thakur

Thanks for the info on current authentication support.

Do you know if there are plans to extend that to SSO in the near future?
