What is the difference between 'Help' and 'Hint' columns in Labels related list of a table's field dictionary entry?

Hi all,

I could see 'Help' and 'Hint' as separate columns in Labels related list of a table's field dictionary entry.
Are they meant to do the same task (display hint on hover over the field in a record form) or, separate use?
Could you please help me resolve the idea behind separate columns?

Hi,

Help: Helpful text stored in the record (it's currently not used anywhere in the platform)

Hint: A short description of the field that displays when the user hovers over it.
