When I change the timezone in portal under profile page, it is not creating any entry in sys_user_preference table. Is there any other place to where the user preferences will store when user changes the timezone in portal ?

I want to check the user preferences when the user changes the timezone in portal view under profile page.

Hi,

I believe it will not create a entry in user preference table. it will update the user table indeed.


I tested it and i don't see any update on user preference table.

Hi Ashutosh,

When user changes the time zone value field though service portal, The changes are not being reflected in the user table.

Can you please guide me on how to achieve this?

Hi there,

It's just a session setting and therefor not stored in you user record or user preferences. Upon new session, the timezone will be reset again.

"Users can change their time zone for the current session in the system settings (the gear on the top right of the banner). Upon the next login, the time zone setting reverts to the system default, or user profile setting for time zone."
