Hi All,

I have created Read ACL (snap) but its not working. User with no role also can see it editable on related tab.

Don't know what may be the issue ?

Ok in that case just remove the role as admin condition. So that system will allow IOP SRE group members to edit that field.

ok then do one thing, replace the admin role with ITIL. It'll work. Because user must have ITIL role to access ITSM modules. To verify this, lookup roles linked to that group. If ITIL is there, then simply update the role with ITIL.

Hi @Virendra K

Could you please give more information on the issue?

You've created read acl and saying the field is editable (write).

Please elaborate the issue. Will try to help.

Thanks

Hi @J Siva ,

Requirement is to block users to edit that column in Outage related tab, so for that I have created Read ACL but its not working. I cross checked whether is there any ACL created on this column, but its not there.

Not sure what's going wrong  ?

To restrict the users from editing that field, then you must create write ACL.

Read ACL is used to control the visibility of the field like who can see and read the value of that field.

In your case, create one "Deny unless" write ACL with roles required as admin.

So that it'll allow only admin users to make changes to that field.

Hi @J Siva

As you mentioned, I have created write ACL and I think its working. I need one more help, I missed to mention it. There is a group for which this column should be editable.

So I set the role as Admin and tried to put that group in "Security Attribute Condition" and Script Condition but its not working (snap). I mean, I impersonated with that group member but its non editable for that user.

How I could mention this like mentioned group allow to edit the column ?
