Digital Product Release - Projects and Enhancements

Hi all,

 

1. I kindly need a confirmation about Project release: stories/epics can be added to the "Release scope" section if Agile is installed, but there are other tasks that are usually added for a Project release? Maybe enhancements? 

 

2. About the print below I wonder if my comprehension is correct: 

- Product is CIM

- Features are detailed part of CIM to be released, e.g. notifications or reports

- Enhancements are related to Features but is not clear to me how, can you please provide a use case?

- Version is when the product is release (e.g. Q2 2026)

It's definitively unclear to me the purpose of enhancements, can you please support?

  1. Project Release Scope Confirmation

Answer:
Stories and epics can be added to the Release scope with any planning tool(Agile,Jira,ADO...etc), provided your product is integrated with an external planning tool. If a release is created from a version linked to that planning tool, the corresponding stories/epics will automatically appear under the Release scope section.

Answer:
Features and product enhancements are part of the Digital Product Release process.

Open the Product Enhancement record you created to link your internal epics and product features directly to the enhancement.

There are two ways to create product enhancements:

  1. Manual Creation:
    Navigate to the product page → Release Planning → Create Product Enhancement for the relevant version. Once created, open the record to link the appropriate epics.

  2. Automatic Creation:
    Product enhancements are generated automatically when:

    • The product is connected to an external planning tool.
    • Epics are imported from that tool. In this case, the system will automatically create the corresponding product enhancements, link the epics, and tag them to the appropriate version.
