We had SAM and HAM. I have worked in HAM pro and SAM Pro. I have not used EAM.
In one of the EAM Infographics, I see that EAM offers workflows for Asset refresh, stock orders, disposal orders etc. we have all of these in HAM.
What exactly is EAM? Why was it introduced separately when we had HAM and SAM. How its different from HAM?
When should we use EAM over HAM?
Thanks in advance!

Hi @Suggy
As per my knowledge , ServiceNow day by day enhancing the more functionality and renaming the existing Modules so Introduced the EAM, There is nothing much changes in EAM as compared to Earlier Sampro and Ham Pro,
ITAM and EAM are similar in that they both manage important assets. While ITAM focuses on assets specific to technology, EAM involves the management of physical assets of an organization throughout each asset’s lifecycle. EAM can include assets like office furniture, vehicles, ships, machinery, financial assets, facility equipment, and other tools across the entire enterprise.
EAM is used to plan, optimize, execute, and track the purchase, maintenance, and use of each asset spanning across departments in the entire enterprise. This includes the design, construction, commissioning, operations, decommissioning, and replacement of assets.
Enterprise asset management solutions can be used in conjunction with an asset management software and cloud based IT service management software just like ITAM. Cloud based asset management solutions ensure that software asset management solutions can be accessible anywhere, which is especially helpful for a blended or remote workforce.
Refer the below URL, might help to understand more for EAM.

Please mark my reply as Helpful and/or Accept Solution, if applicable. Thanks!

Hi Suggy,
EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) is a comprehensive system for managing the lifecycle of physical assets across an organization. While HAM (Hardware Asset Management) focuses on managing hardware assets like servers or laptops, EAM covers a broader range, including maintenance, asset refresh, stock orders, and disposal, making it ideal for industries with complex asset management needs. For advanced, Industry 4.0-compliant solutions, Fogwing EAM is an excellent choice, providing seamless integration and real-time asset monitoring for optimized performance
