Drag and Drop user variable on esc portal

Hi Experts,

I want to add drag and drop functionality on catalog item variables on esc portal. Suppose on right side of esc portal users list will be available and on any catalog item form if user variable is present then requester should be able to drag and drop users in user variable.

Is this possible? If yes what is the best way to implement it.

If no, then why it is not possible.
