Our taxonomy topics go down 4-levels, with content on the 4th level. We want to display the 4th-level topics in the mega menu, but I haven't been successful in doing so. Even with content in the fourth-level topics and syncing the menus with the taxonomy, I'm not getting them to appear under the 3rd-level headings.
According to the release notes this should be in EC Pro since Nov of 23:
The APN record is Active for the portal, and I verified that the sub-menus underneath are active as well, down to the 4th level. I ran the "Sync hierarchy" UI action for each menu item, hoping that would pull in the 4th level items, but they weren't pulled in. The topic records for these 4th level items are active, and they actually show up on the topic pages of the 3rd level topics, just not in the mega-menu.
We are on Vancouver and EC Pro is updated to the latest store release.
What might I be missing?

Hello maybe you have the same issue than me :
This is what happened :
When I create my topics in my taxonomy it's created like this :
- Main topic A/subtopic A1/subtopic A2/subtopic A3
- Main topic B/subtopic B1/topic B2
Then when I configured my Advanced portal navigation like this :
- Create a new menu item called "Menu 1"
- I created a new submenu entry and put the topic "subtopic A1" (to have hierarchy : Menu 1/subtopic A1/subtopic A2/subtopic A3) .
And then I synchronize it then I have some error message (only the first time I click on synchronize) and subtopic A3 is not synchronize.
-I created a new submenu entry and put the topic "Main topic B" which is a main topic in my taxonomy (to have hierarchy : Menu 1/Main topic B/subtopic B1/topic B2) .
And then I synchronize it without error. The "topic B2" is well synchronized.
It means that you can only put "Main topic" of your taxonomy as child menu to synchronize 3 taxonomy level under your menu item.
Hope it helps you.

How did you add the taxonomy topic as a submenu to Menu 1? I can't find a way to do this.

I've found the solution however it requires you to create the service portal menu items manually as 'URL' type linking them to the topic pages for any 4th level items.
The taxonomies are only fetched to the 3rd level as a performance measure for the portal due to the connected content potentially causing an issue with the first load of the page if there's a lot of it.
They mention the workaround in the video here: https://youtu.be/NvH9ZzkVT5g?t=1903
The other option which was hinted at before is to create a 'URL' type menu item and then add your taxonomies under that. This would give the illusion of the 4 levels although the top level wouldn't actually be a topic.

Thanks, that was very helpful, I've got it meeting requirements now. Out of curiosity, how do you add the taxonomies under the menu item? I couldn't find any way to do that.

Hi,
Maybe there is some other way, but here is how i did it.
1) Advanced portal navigation, open active portal.
2) Go to Taxonomy tab and open Employee taxonomy
3) There you should see child topic/s. There add new ones.
Remember topic is visible only when it has active items under.
+For me , when i was adding new topics under menu items, it required to do multiple web cache clearing, logging in and out, otherwise i did not see new items. Not sure what was the issue , tried this on different browsers.
