How can I include ds_document (and related tables) in Global Search / AI Search results?

Hi Community,
I’m trying to make records from ds_document and its related tables (e.g., ds_document_version, etc.) show up in our platform-wide search.

What I’m seeing

  • Records from ds_document and related tables do not appear in global search results.
  • Other standard tables (e.g., Incident, Knowledge) are returned as expected.

Questions

  1. Is ds_document supported for Global Text Search and/or AI Search out of the box, or does it need special configuration?
  2. For Zing: Do I need to add ds_document to a specific Search Source/Group, and which fields must be text‑indexed for best results?
  3. For AI Search: Is there a recommended Source Type / Data Source mapping for ds_document + related tables ?
  4. Are there known limitations or exclusions for ds_* tables in search?

@BigGuru

We have multiple documents in ds_document and related tables, and we need them to appear in Global Search. How can we enable search on these tables?
