How do I get the type of banner in employee center that has multiple buttons no the right hand side you can click through, and make the banner display all way across the top?

How do i get my banner to appear with these buttons on the side? I dont see anything in content library. I scheduled multiple banners to the welcome banner CD and they just show as carousel.

Hello Kaylee,

I liked those banner buttons as well and created them.

I created them under the portal content using the Content Experience Header Widget. Here is a screenshot of how I filled it out, you may also need to create the Button Links if you choose to use them. Make sure the Content Type is Banner, and fill in the rest.

When you create the schedule content in the related list, before sure to use the Content Experience Header for the Widget Instance. If there isn't a widget instance for this yet, you will need to create that too. But you can do all of this throughout the whole process.

When creating the scheduled portion, be sure to select the correct Page and widget instance:

find_real_file.png

And here is somewhat on what the button link should look like, if you choose to use it:

find_real_file.png

And the URL would be your specific URL as to where you want the button link to take the user. You can do internal and external links. For example: the one I am showing you above is using a link directly to the Knowledge Article that deals with the information on the specific banner.

I hope this helps - if you need more info/assistance please let me know.

Thank you,

Thank you! switching to that specific widget worked. Do you have any idea how to get the breadcrumbs to appear below the header?

I have the breadcrumbs container lower than the content experience widget and the breadcrumbs still show above it

Hey Kaylee,

You are welcome - glad you got it to work!

For your breadcrumbs, could you share screenshots of both portal view and page designer? That way we can see both sides and try to figure out what is going on.

Also, it might be good to start a new question post since the breadcrumbs is separate.

Above all, screenshots would be good though 🙂

And if you decide to do a new post, tag me and I will check it out and hopefully answer for you.

Thank you,

-Rob

I ended up just putting a fresh widget in the page in a lower container and it ended up working out fine, and I took out the oob one. Thanks so much!
