How do we change the landing / homepage in EC?

We are currently running on Xanadu - our challenge is that when you first open SN, it's opening to an inactive dashboard.  How do we go about changing which dashboard is shown when opening SN?  We have all our dashboards migrated to Platform Analytics.

On the Xanadu release with dashboards migrated to Platform Analytics, what you’re seeing usually means users still have an old homepage / inactive dashboard set as their default landing page.

In ServiceNow, the first screen after login is controlled by user preferences + system properties, not by Platform Analytics itself.

Set a new default landing page via System Properties

This forces everyone (or most users) to open on your active Platform Analytics dashboard.

Hi Nayan,

Thank you for your reponse - I am still slightly unclear on how to change the System Properties.  Is this controlled by a specific role in ServiceNow?

This is what  I see when I search for System Properties in SN -

Hi @hailm2  ,

1) open system properties  table   -> sys_properties.list

2) search for this properties ->    glide.login.home

3) open record & change value of this properties so it will redirect that url

Hi @hailm2,

usually the user sees the last dashboard they visited, so perhaps if the user access any existing dashboard and then after next login they will be redirected to existing and not inactive one.

Another thing what can be tried is this user preference to set the start page:
