I want to change the position of "tours" to left of "my tasks", but the issue is that "tours is coming from different widget and rest elements is coming from different widget. So how i can achieve it?

This will include customising/realigning of OOB widgets which is nit recommended by service-now, as it will or may break in future upgrades.

You can hide tours with system property but aligning it is not an option.

Hi @Community Alums ,

As @RaghavSh , you have to go with a customized approach, there is nothing OOTB available. Be aware that doing this has future consequences. Not receiving any updates when updating the plugin, on the widget anymore for example is one of the consequences.

If you still want to proceed then , refer to 2 different approaches :

1.

For this change, you'll have to:-

1. Clone Header Menu widget, and make changes according to your requirement.
2. Create a new menu with your new customised widget.

3. add your menu in place of Employe Center Menu.

4. if you require any changes on header too for your requirement, do create you own header and replace Employee Center Header with your header in EC Theme record.

OR,

2.

I recommend against this unless there is a legit business case for it. If you must, you can clone the Employee Center Header widget and then make the following changes:

1. In the HTML Template of the widget, swap the list item (li) location of the Avatar and the Cart, tours, and wishlist.

2. Then add your newly cloned header widget to the theme:

Now, when you test this from the portal, it will trigger errors. You now have to allow new Restricted Caller Access Privileges for the new custom header.

Hi there,

Like others mentioned, this is not achieveable through configuration and would mean you need to edit the widget. Editing the widget has consequences!

Instead you could also create a Support Case at ServiceNow, and ask if there is something on the roadmap, perhaps next Employee Center release, to make this more configurable.

Kind regards,
Mark
