How to create a new portal page in Employee Center Portal

Hi everyone,

 

We recently migrated from our old ServiceNow Portal to Employee Center Portal. Can someone please teach me how to create a new page web page in Employee Center? We need a new page for the content that we want to add in the Employee Center Portal.

Hi Irene,

 

You can go to Service Portal > Portal,

 

there you will find EC Portal,

or 

you can create pages from Service Portal > Pages and link it to Employee Center Portal.

To create a new web page in the Employee Center Portal:

  1. Go to "Service Portal" application.
  2. Click "Pages" and select "New".
  3. Provide a name and unique URL suffix for the page.
  4. Link it to Employee center portal.
  5. Optionally, you can select a parent page under which the new page will be nested. This helps organize the page hierarchy.
  6. Choose "HTML" or "Service Portal Page" for page content.
  7. Customize the page and save.
  8. Add the page to a menu or navigation module.
  9. Test the Employee Center Portal with the new page.

Note: To make the new page accessible in the Employee Center Portal, you need to add it to a menu or a navigation module. Navigate to the appropriate menu or navigation module in the "Menus" or "Navigation" module under "PORTAL MANAGEMENT" and add the new page to it.

 

By following these steps, you should be able to create a new web page in the Employee Center Portal and add custom content to enhance the portal's functionality and user experience.

On the Service Portals > Pages > New Page, there is no option for "Parent'.

Can you advise?

! To create a new web page in the Employee Center Portal of ServiceNow, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Service Portal Designer by clicking on the "Service Portal" application in the application navigator.
  2. In the Service Portal Designer, locate the Employee Center Portal. This portal is typically named "employee".
  3. Click on the Employee Center Portal to open its configuration.
  4. Create a new page from service portal --> Pages
  5. Optionally, you can specify a friendly URL in the "URL" field. This will determine the page's web address.
  6. Configure the layout of the page by selecting a template from the "Template" drop-down menu. Templates define the structure and placement of widgets on the page.
  7. Once you have selected a template, click on the "Create" button to create the new page.
  8. The page editor will open, allowing you to add content and configure the widgets on the page.
  9. To add content, drag and drop widgets from the widget palette on the left-hand side onto the page canvas.
  10. Configure the properties of each widget to customize its behavior and appearance according to your requirements.
  11. Save your changes , and preview the page and widget. once you are satified , you can publish it.
