How can we hide/restrict the access to the parent topic on mega menu for certain users based on roles. We want to show HR topic only for the direct employees and hide for contractors

Hey Pallavi,

This restriction will come from your Record Producer along with your HR Criteria.

From your Record Producer Form you will have, under related links, Not Available For and Available For tabs:

find_real_file.png

When using these you will have options to create new criteria or edit (which means add to the list what you already have in place of the criteria. Here is an example from ours here, as we are a global company and other countries don't need access/use certain things.

find_real_file.png

This will flow over onto the portal, i.g. Mega Menu.

I would check these out, add in your criteria (or create some if you need it).

Hope this helps - let us know if you need more help/details.

Cheers,

-Rob

I havent found any direct option to hide the parent topic. But if we restrict the access for all the categories, catalog items and quick links related to that parent topic from backend using user criteria, automatically the parent topic will be hidden on the employee center menu as it doesn't have any connected content to display to that user.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for the reply. Done the same by updating the related user criteria in the Available for/Not available for related lists.

Thanks,

Pallavi K.

Glad we were able to help!

Take care,
