Is there a way to hide Attachment/PDF Doc from AI Search Results

Hey SN Comm Team,

I am looking to see if there is a way to hide the Attachment | PDF document as a search result (we are using the AI Search).

find_real_file.png

This results in much too much being found and displayed from the search and is not great customer experience.

This is from the global search, not the knowledge page and/ or knowledge search.

I have tested the idea, with making the Text Index Configuration for the knowledge table as false

but that only worked towards the knowledge page and search. I want to stop these from being displayed from the main search being used (I put it back to true once I noticed it was not working as I had hoped).

Does anyone know if this is possible, and how it can be controlled?

Many thanks,

-Rob

Hello Rob,

I made this to false and did re-indexing and it worked for me. Can you please try once again.? Don't forgot to click 'Index all tables' once you made all false.

It's not working unfortunately. I set to false first and waited a while, no change. I deleted those indexes, waited awhile, no change.

Hello @Rob Sestito ,

If you go to 'Search Profile' and find ESC entry open the form scroll down to related list you will see entry and if you select attachment and unlink this might work. Can you give a try.?

Hello Musab,

My search profile for ESC does not have anything linked with attachments. I have gone here already also, as I have gotten rid of People search for this profile.

Do you have any other suggestions?

Thank you so much,

Hey @Musab Rasheed -

So, I created those configurations fresh, set value for each to false as you have shown, and indexed all tables.

This time it did work for me!

Thank you very much for your help with this.

Cheers,
