language switching in content library

Hi we recently started using the content experience widget to publish portal / banner content.  We have enabled the sn_cd.enable_language_switching system property and the switch language button appears.   I can see using the "switch language" button that I have created base language (English) and Spanish (translated) variations but when switching between the two the heading text remains the same.  So in reality we havent achieved the objective at all.  Any tips please to help?

oh actually no the translated heading text does not exist in the translated text table  although if I was to try and use the headline for example it does

Thanks for confirming. Heading text is also of type translated text. If translation exists, it should show up after switching the language.
