Main topics not showing up on EC homepage

Hello:

I am trying to get EC up and running on my PDI.

I have installed the necessary plug-ins, and have installed HRSD.

The Employee Taxonomy is active and associated with EC.

However, all I see in the Mega Menu is IT and Org. Chart; and even within IT all I see is IT for IT and Browse All It.

I am sure I am missing something really simple, but am unable to figure out even after reviewing a few videos.

How do I get the HR and all the IT topics to show up in the mega menu?

BTW, I have cloned the Employee taxonomy and associated that to the EC portal.

I also manually resolved all the RCA errors.

Hey Mahesh,

I believe you issue might be due to not having demo data. When you installed all the plugins, did you check the box for demo data? If you didn't then that is probably why.

For myself with my PDI when I went through this a few months back, I loaded demo data, went through the steps with setting up the EC portal, and I have topics with HR available:

And they are ready to be used. For the IT side, there are topics sitting and waiting under the taxonomy, but they probably are not connected 100% and/ or have no record producers tied to them.

So, overall, if you did not load demo data, I would do so. You can do one of the options under Related Links from the plugin form:

You can repair the plugin which will give you the option to check the demo data box. Or, load demo data only.

Hope this helps - let me know if you did already load demo data and are still having this issue.

Thanks Rob! I did find the article that describes how to setup EC Pro with Demo Data and ran through all the fix scripts. It is working now.
