Microsoft Viva Connection Integration

Dear Community,

 

We are looking into the feasibility of Employee Center integration with Viva Connection.

 

I have gone through the whole document as well as the YouTube video, trying to figure out what the ServiceNow card can do inside Viva Connection dashboard. 

 

I cannot find any information. The video demo offers little insight, other than a ServiceNow card with hyperlinks. Clicking the card will take you to the Employee Centre inside Teams.

 

Can anyone who have implemented this solution share some more information?

 

For example, can we approve request directly within Viva dashboard without leaving the page?

Can we have multiple ServiceNow cards that could display KB, catalogue item, Incidents or requests, etc?

Hi Katie,

I haven't implemented it yet but I did learn something.

Once you have the card ready in Viva Dashboard, you can view your pending tasks.

It will include different type of tasks, including requests and approval.

When you click the button on the card to view, a quick view will pop up with the list of tasks you can scroll through. Due to the limitation of the card size, you can see a bit of the description of the task.

Clicking the task will take you to the Employee Center app if you enabled it within MS Teams.

If you don't, I think it would just take you to the EC portal via the browser,

I will let you know with more details once we have it in place.

 

But basically, the native Now card in Viva Dashboard will serve as a redirection point with a little bit description.

It will not be an actionable card.
