Modifying Featured Content in Employee Center Pro

  1. We recently launched Employee Center Pro and when creating Featured Content the article is not being promoted to the top of the topic page. Is this expected behavior?  When testing in my PDI the card/article is being promoted to the top of the page.
  2. In some cases we want Featured Content to display temporarily. Is there a way to remove the Featured Content from the topic page?  I do not have the option to delete or inactivate the record.

Hey @BG1

Featured content cannot be scheduled, but you can simply add or remove. Screenshot below. This can be done via the Global scope or if you go into the Taxonomy scope. Note you may require the relevant role to achieve this

Featured items or articles will always be the first tiles present on a Topic page. The only time I've not seen this happen is when ordering has been changed or done incorrectly. So the ordering value on the items themselves vs the featured.

Dan, just to be 100% correct. It is not possible on a knowledge article to directly link to a topic. it always have to go via the Topic - connected method. Right?

Yes it appears that way for now. Catalog Items do have a related list you can add, where you can set the Topic a Catalog Item should appear for.

But I havn't seen this method available for KB articles or Record Producers. So for now you would need to add the KB Article through the topic.

You can do that on the Topic itself (which I recommend to just keep things simple) but you can also go to the connected content module and add a connection record directly there

Similar to Catalog items, Knowledge Articles also can be connected to Topics directly from the Article itself. You could check if the Taxonomy/Topic personas have the right roles for Knowledge Articles access.
