Nested Categories

Hi All,

 

On our Service Portal (employee center) I have a requirement that Nested categories be expanded by default So that you do NOT have to click the little + icon to expand the sub categories.

Widget used: sc categories

Hi @Raji9 ,

I don't have an instance to hand that has multiple categories for me to quickly test, but from memory if you edit the SC Categories widget, there should be an option to set the Category Layout as flat. 

This was an OOTB method to do this in the widget in Service Portal, imagine it's still there.

 

If that doesn't work, you will need to clone the widget and amend code that controls the nesting

Hi there,

 

There's no out-of-the-box configuration option / instance option to achieve this. You need to clone and edit the widget and adjust the code (lots of community questions on this in the past, so you should be able to find them).

 

Question though... since you are mentioning Employee Center. Why your question? Aren't you using Taxonomy and Topics instead?
