Profile With Drop Down disappears from the header menu

Why does the profile dropdown menu disappear from the header in Employee Center?
I'm using Employee Center, and the profile icon with the dropdown (usually at the top right) sometimes disappears from the header. Has anyone faced this issue or knows what might be causing it?

I was experiencing this issue, and repairing all of the related Employee Center plugins resolved the issue (make sure they are also on the most recent version):

• Employee Center
• Employee Center Core
• Employee Center Pro (must be licensed for Pro version)
• Content Publishing
• Content Experiences
