I'm in the process of trying to understand the content library.  I can create the new content of any type but when I attempt to add it to the page the widget is not showing.  I feel like I'm missing a step. And

Please use the page in designer for page "ec_pro_home" and add the content publishing widget to the page for which you've created the content.

There might not be any widget on the page where your created content can be targetted.
