Hi all,
I need your help on 2 topics:
1. How can I change the Employee Center (Portal) custom configuration (theme) to one of the predefined themes?
(A 3-rd party company has done the current Employee Center design configuration and we want to switch to a standard one because on each widget/plug-in installation, the theme is overwriting the appearance(font) and we need to modify it by coding.)
I want to mention that we are running on the ServiceNow Utah instance version of Employee Center.
2. How can we create a testing copy of our Employee Center? Do we need to pay for a copy of our Employee Center Portal?
(It will be really helpful to have a testing instance of our Employee Center for future customizations)

Hello Daniel,
For point 1:
That's awful to hear :). I can see the pain already each time you want to use the new functionalities with every store release. To answer your question - It depends on how heavily it was customized.
- The OOTB theme is "EC Theme" and you can change the theme via Filter navigator -> Portals > Select your portal -> Theme field.
- If the OOTB theme was however directly edited, I would recommend to export/import a copy from a PDI to have a clean theme
- Worst case scenario you could also try a repair of the plugin but again, it depends on how heavy it was customized. You'd likely lose any custom functionalities.
For point 2:
- If you have a spare instance at your company, you can request a clone.
If my post helped you, please click the accept solution button and hit the thumbs up! Thank you!
