Can anyone share what portal widgets do not natively work on a Service Portal vs. Employee Center Pro experience?
We're evaluating a need to build an external-facing portal experice for non-employees (partners, vendors, third-parties, etc.) to collaborate and share content with. However, most of the widgets for publishing content such as News Center, Featured News, Carousel Banners, Employee Forums, Idea Portals, etc. are intended for internal employee usage via Employee Center/Center Pro.
Would these widgets also function as expected on the Service Portal framework for an external audience?
Would we have to clone/customize each of these widgets?
Is there a matrixs of all portal widgets available and if they function on Service Portal, Employee Center, or both?
Thank you in advance

Hi @johnstein ,
A lot of the widgets you have mentioned use the 'audience' concept for managing who can see what.
So for example creating campaign content you can set the audience (similar to User Criteria) to be external users and only they will see it, while not seeing internal content. If you are using content on an internal Employee Center, worth just making sure the audiences being setup are for internal only.
Probably the best way to validate your use case is to try it out in a dev environment. Configuring content for each widget you will see the options available and if it suits your needs.
