I am creating an intranet for our organization through Employee Center Pro and I had some questions.
I currently have the Quick Links widget set up on every page. My boss likes this one because it has where you can add an icon to it that will show up in the widget. We also have the Simple List widget on the page. I have configured it to pull from the kb_knowledge table and filter by taxonomy topic.
My boss wants to see if we can actually combine these. So I need a widget that can hold things like catalog items, knowledge articles, external links, and pages. I thought about using the quick links widget and just making quick links of the knowledge articles needed, but I feel like that might get weird when looking at the search results. Do you know if you can hide certain quick links from search results?
She loves the idea of the icons, but I don't know if the simple list widget allows for icons/images within it like the quick links does. I'm not a developer so configuring and coding is not my cup of tea.
If anyone has thoughts on a way to get all those types of content items, along with icons, into 1 widget (that can fit into a size 3 container on the right side of the page), I would greatly appreciate it.
