Taxonomy: is it collapsible?

Hello

We are settong up our ESC taxonomy to be 3 levels with a Topic, sub-topic, and sub-sub-topics.

Knowing that we have over 100 sub-sub-topics, is it possible to "collapse" these sub-sub-topics per sub-topic?  By default having all 100 sub-sub-topics show up on the taxonomy header is quite unwieldy and confusing so if we could have the ability to compress these sub-sub-topics so that they can show up when we move the mouse over the sub-topics in question.

Please let me know if this is possible or not.

There isn’t any oob way to have your taxonomy automatically collapse and expand sub sub topics under sub topics in the standard mega menu or taxonomy widgets because they just render the hierarchy you’ve built and don’t include a built in collapse behavior, so if you’re dealing with 100+ sub sub topics you’d typically need to either restructure your taxonomy to keep it manageable......... or build/clone a custom widget with your own expand/collapse logic...

As far as I know, then no, there is no OOTB solution for this.
